Welcome to my site.... Please know ahead of time... this is not the world renowned website of a great person. It is just the thoughts and wanderings of an Old Man, who has things to say and will always, no matter what, say them! An Old Man who has seen a lot, done a lot, been there and done that, given up trying to be politically correct, and simply calls it as he sees it and tells it like it is!
On this site I will talk about things that interest me and hopefully, you. I will talk about fishing, maybe a little bit of politics, guns, pretty women, our wonderful country, what I think our Flag stands for, things I refuse to stand for, and any other odds and ends that may float out of the fog and into the mind of an old man.
I named my site Running Against The Wind. For those of you old enough, you might recognize that name as the title of a song done by Bob Seger and The Silver Bullet Band. The song was released in 1980, a time in which I still thought the adventure would never come to an end. Today, I listen to the song and realize Bob Seger wrote a song just about me....

I was living to run and running to live,
Never worried about paying or even how much I owed
Moving eight miles a minute for months at a time
Breaking all of the rules that would bend...
I began to find myself searchin
for shelter again and again...
I found myself seeking shelter against the wind".
It took a long while for me to see the light.. I'm lucky to have lived through some of the things I did. Now I look back and say "What a dumb a*s kid!". On the other hand, I would not have changed a single thing! In all honesty however, all I can say for myself today, after all those days of know it all, blissful ignorance is this..... "My only real regrets in life are the things I never did!"
